The heart of 46 Power
Be still and know that I am God. To exalt Jesus to coaches and athletes through prayer, resources, and encouraging fellowship.
Our goal is to expand 46 Power into new schools and states, using sports as a platform to share the hope of Jesus Christ.
About 46 Power
Steve Duncan and Randy Taylor built a close friendship while coaching football at Murray High School, often using long bus rides and shared time to talk about life, faith, and their desire to introduce young athletes to Jesus Christ. While winning games mattered, their true priority was helping players—and coaches—grow spiritually and understand who they were beyond the field.
Even as their coaching paths eventually led in different directions, the conversations never stopped. For years, they talked about creating a devotional, nonprofit ministry that could reach high school athletes with the Gospel. That vision became reality through God-orchestrated connections and a meeting with a former player and Coach Gary Grass, who helped bring the designs to life.
The organization became known as 46 Power, inspired by Coach Duncan’s favorite play and Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.”
What began as a local vision has grown beyond its original scope. Today, 46 Power has expanded across Kentucky and into other states, led by former coaches and leaders who share a desire to bring faith into athletic programs. These men and women use their experience, relationships, and love for sports to point student athletes to Christ. The vision has grown, but the mission remains the same: to glorify God by sharing the Gospel and impacting lives for eternity through faith, mentorship, and obedience.
